Tenant Referral List

All members of GBAOMA have the tenant referral list (TRL) to help find a new tenant for rental properties. This database is compiled by GBAOMA landlords to help other GBAOMA landlords.

Unfortunately, a bad tenant can leave a property destroyed before any eviction procedure can be carried out on that tenant. When that happens, their name does not go into the eviction database, which is also available to GBAOMA landlords. Sometimes, a bad tenant is because of bad behavior.

Having the ability to search a name, call or text the landlord who listed that name in the TRL list and ask, “would you rent to this person again?” gives GBAOMA landlords an effective tool to keep our properties safe and tenant compatible. This is not a blacklist. We also can add the names of great tenants who could benefit from a good referral from a past landlord.

GBAOMA landlords list a tenant name, leave their own contact name and method of contact (email or phone). Any conversation is between the two landlords. If the name you’re searching for is not in the eviction database, beware, it may be in the Tenant Referral List.
